OPEN STEP 3 (TO DO AFTER YOU FOUND OUT WHICH QUESTIONS YOU GOT WRONG)

IF YOU SCORED A GRADE YOU'RE NOT HAPPY WITH:

STEP 3A — PRACTISING QUESTION TYPES YOU FIND DIFFICULT

1. Open the panel at the top of the home page.
2. Click on 'Create Reports/Advice Here'.
3. On the next screen, click on 'Show your Activity & Question Type Strengths and Weaknesses'.
4. You will now see:

  • an overview of the exams you have completed;
  • the question types you find most difficult;
  • the question types you are best at.

5. Find the question type you want to practise. Click on its 'oefen' link.
6. You will now see the study advice for that question type (CITO eindterm). Read the advice carefully.

The page contains:

  • general study advice;
  • advice for this specific question type;
  • a list of questions of the same type;
  • two lists of students in your class or at your level who are good at this question type.

(these students may be able to help you when you cannot, or do not want to, ask a teacher)

Each question in the table has a link to an exam containing that type of question. The same exam may appear several times.
Write down the exam and question numbers. You will need them later.

STEP 3B — UNDERSTANDING YOUR WRONG ANSWERS

1. Go back to the overview of all the questions in Step 2 of the exam you want to check.
2. When you see a question with in front of it, click on the question link.
3. Read the explanation of the correct answer.
4. Read the relevant part of the exam text and the question again.
5. Try to understand:

  • why your answer was wrong;
  • why the correct answer is right;
  • how you can find the correct answer next time.
